Jesmiya Basheer works with children, teens, and families; helping kids who are struggling in school, feeling anxious, or just not being understood find their footing again. With a dual background in counselling psychology and special education, she brings both clinical depth and hands-on tools to help children heal, learn, and grow with confidence.
She can help if your child is dealing with:
Jesmiya believes scholastic struggles are rarely just about academics. Often there’s fear, anxiety, or low self-worth underneath. She starts with a proper assessment to understand exactly where a child needs support, then builds a plan that rebuilds both skill and confidence while combining structured remedial learning with emotional support, so children don’t just catch up, they feel safe and capable while doing it. She also works closely with parents, helping bridge the gap between home and classroom.
Jesmiya holds a Master’s degree (M.A.) in Counselling Psychology and is an RCI Licensed Special Educator who holds a B.Ed in Special Education (Learning Disability), where she graduated as the 4th Rank Holder at Mahatma Gandhi University, qualified to work with children facing learning and developmental challenges.
Her training and experience allow her to work across:
Psychoeducational Assessment — using standardised tools to pinpoint exactly where a child needs support
Cognitive & Remedial Skill Building — strengthening reading, numeracy, comprehension, and phonological awareness
Emotional Regulation & CBT — addressing performance anxiety, negative self-talk, and school-related stress
Independent Learning Skills — helping children build self-monitoring, goal-setting, and study habits that last
Parent-School Collaboration — coordinating with parents and teachers for consistent support at home and in class
This combination of clinical psychology and special education training means Jesmiya doesn’t just treat the symptom. She looks at the whole child, addressing both the learning gap and the emotional weight that often comes with it.
Every child, in Jesmiya’s view, carries potential. They just need the right space and the right support to access it. Parents choose her because she doesn’t just focus on grades; she helps children feel secure, understood, and genuinely empowered, while giving families practical tools to support that growth long after the session ends.
